Finance for a diverse range of business assets

Opening up funds for a new bottling plant

The Global Winery is a Herefordshire-located wine producer and drinks packager and supplier. While it focuses on contract wine, cordials and other drinks bottling, it was being asked to package carbonated drinks and offer differently sized bottled products —changes that demanded adaptations to its production line.

Director Martin Fowke explains: “Upgrading our production line required significant capital expenditure. I’d used Reality Finance previously, and was very happy with their service. So I asked them to suggest options for the new bottling line and funders with access the Regional Growth Fund (RGF).”

We quickly identified a funder and facilitated an application through their RGF Asset Purchase Scheme. The required £200,000+VAT funds were secured soon afterward and funded through Hire Purchase, an RGF grant and a customer deposit.

“The RGF grant and lease enabled us to acquire the new equipment and produce what our customers wanted. We’re delighted to be expanding our portfolio and workforce as a result, and our relationship with Reality Finance has been key to the process”, adds Martin.
